[Task1] Table - Employment percentages of different age groups

The table below shows the  in which sector of the economy different age groups were employed. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, making comparisons where relevant

Given the table provides the information on employment proportion of 9 different economy sectors by 3 age groups: 18-25, 25-40 and 40-65.

Overall, the sector having the most people working in is manufacturing while the least one is accountancy.

In the youngest age group, people prefer to work mostly in retail, manufacturing, health and other. This is quite similar to the middle age group, but this group also prefer to work in education and local government sector. The oldest group also work mostly in manufacturing but they work in retail more or less the same with the middle group's which less than 4 times that the youngest one do.

All three groups are less likely to work in law and accountancy which is accountable for 4 in law, and around 3 in accountancy, the 25-40 years-old group even has the least number working in accountancy which is just 2. Local government and education are two common sectors which all people want to work for.

  1. The table demonstrates the employment proportion in various different sectors in Australia in 2011, according to three working age groups. Overall, while manufacturing employed the largest percentage of the workers, accountancy counted for the lowest. There was also a slight difference in the figures between three age groups, with the exception of the Law sector.
Manufacturing and health were among the most popular sectors in Australia in 2011. Both claimed equally 12% of the total employment in 18-25 age group and 15% in 25-40 age group. While 12% of the workers (aged 40-65) worked in Health sector, nearly double that proportion of the workers were in Manufacturing (23%) . On the contrary, Law and Accountancy attracted the lowest number of employment. Although the former received a tiny proportion of 4% equally in each group, the latter sector even had the lower figure, at only equal or under 3% in every group given.
In addition, there were slight variations among three groups in each sector. For instance, while 18% of Australians aged 40+ were in local government, only 8% of under 25 people followed. Also, as retail was the most popular among 18-25 age group at 23%, this figure dropped to just 6% in the oldest group.
